Wow, Karin, I love this water. The whole piece is so wonderfully surreal. The sculptural swan is an unexpected twist.

Description:

I created Black Swan in the first days of January 2005 only a few days after the Tsunami wiped out thousands of lifes. The "Black Swan" is a metaphor for loss, mourning, dead and memento. To realise my idea I used organic structures created with KPT-FraxFlame which I imported into Bryce. The 3D-Rendering was comprehensively reworked (correcting lines, colours etc.) with Photoshop.
Black Swan was awarded with Honorable Mention in the DONNIE 2005 competition of the Virtual Museum of Computerart (MOCA). Copyright Karin Kuhlmann. All rights reserved.
